Legislative Accomplishments

Boddie passed 27 bills during his six years in the Georgia House of Representatives, where he proudlyserved  as a Democrat. As either the lead sponsor or a lead co-sponsor, his legislative accomplishments include a wide range of impactful measures—from repealing Georgia’s outdated Citizens Arrest statute to authoring the Municipal Option Sales Tax (MOST) legislation. This bill empowered the cities of East Point, College Park, and Hapeville to hold a local referendum on implementing a 1-cent sales tax to upgrade their aging wastewater and sewer infrastructure.

Now, as your next State Senator for District 35, Boddie is ready to continue fighting for bold, effective legislation. He remains committed to advancing policies that uplift the residents of District 35 and create lasting progress for all Georgians across the state.
